Curls have their place — maybe in the gym when you’re pumping iron — maybe on a starlet when her tresses fall alluringly over her shoulders. But curls have no place in the poster-hanging world. Just ask the folks at Pomona College.
Curling was, until recently, a real problem in the Seaver Science Complex, at Pomona College, in Claremont, California. There, beautifully produced research posters were rendered downright homely when hung without some sort of bottom support.
As you can see in the accompanying photo, the lower portion of the posters couldn’t be read without spreading the posters open by hand. And, the overall effect in this lovely meeting room was, well, homely.
Fortunately, there is a simple, cost-effective, reusable, and all-around fantastic fix for this problem. Popco SNAPRAIL™ poster hangers to the rescue!
.
Lesley Swick, the Director of the Seaver Science Complex, found Popco online and zeroed in on the SNAPRAIL™ poster hangers. She found our claims to be true, specifically, that a SNAPRAIL™ at the bottom of a poster adds weight and keeps the poster from bowing and curling.
Here, in another accompanying photo, you’ll see that Popco SNAPRAILS at the bottom of the research posters did the trick and removed the homely curls.
Here’s what Lesley had to say about the SNAPRAILS:
“We’re impressed with how easy they are to install, and they are even reusable when we need to change out research posters. The different sizes allow us to order lengths that minimized waste, and because they are easy to cut with the right (inexpensive and portable) tool, I was able to install several dozen quickly.”
Thank you, Lesley! We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. In fact we are grateful to be spared touting our own products, and we know that an end-user’s opinion carries more weight than a manufacturer’s claims. We are pleased to have helped, Leslie, and we are in your debt.
