Colorful, iridescent and smile-inducing, Bugz are the creations of Paul Hunter, in collaboration with his partner Georgene Summers. The business these two unstoppably creative individuals have built is as righteous as their creations are gorgeous.
Years ago, British-born Paul wound up living in South Africa where he began working with local artisans. His mission, informed by his own life struggles, was to provide work, fair wages and proper housing for the people he was living amongst. From humble beginnings, building butterfly creations by hand in a garage, Paul grew Bugz into a business employing nearly twenty individuals.

popco lends support
Paul and Georgene eventually brought Bugz to the United States. Seeking suction cups to support their Bugz creations, it wasn’t long before they found Popco — we are, after all, suction cup experts.
So began Popco’s modest role in the Bugz enterprise. As you can see in the accompanying photo, Popco’s suction cups are attached to Bugz creations so that the Bugz can be affixed to windows, mirrors, or any place a suction cup will stick.

Paul and Georgene chose one of Popco’s smallest cups, the SCM-81 style shown in this picture. Trigger warning: Here comes the shameless promotional portion of the post. Despite the small size of the SCM-81, the gripping strength of this little cup has been more than sufficient. In the nearly ten years that Bugz and Popco have been partners, there’s not been one reported failure of the suction cups. The precious Bugz are safe with Popco.
beautiful creations from beautiful people
This accompanying photo, courtesy of the Bugz website, clearly shows that Popco’s little suction cups do not compete visually with the beauty of Bugz creations. We are a good match, Popco and Bugz, not just in that our products compliment each other — more importantly that our philosophies compliment each other. Like Bugz, Popco believes that business can be fair, can help others, and can have the human touch.
The journeys of Paul and Georgene continue as they have relocated to Mexico, but the connection to Popco remains. Popco continues to play a supporting role in the Bugz story, and benefits deeply from doing business with heart.
