end caps galore for maximum flexibility

Popco has just launched the GruVbanner Pocket Tube, a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to wooden dowels and metal rods. The tube is 3/4 of an inch in diameter and is meant to be used in 1-inch banner pockets. Two styles of end caps give users options for hanging extra-wide banners or standard-width banners. A third, flat-backed, end cap can be used at the bottom of banners for a nice, finished look.

top-loop end caps & banner clips for extra-wide banners

Our “top-loop” end cap is ideal for hanging extra-wide banners (banners wider than four feet). The height of the top-loop end cap matches the height of our standard banner clip. For extra-wide banners, a standard banner clip, in the center of the pocket tube, provides an additional hanging point and supports the pocket tube. This prevents sagging in the center of your hung banner.

a simple approach for standard banners

For banners that are four feet wide or less, center support clips and matching top-loop end caps are not needed. Instead, “side-loop” end caps are best to cover the ends of the pocket tubes and create hanging points.

no-loop end caps finish the look at the bottom of banners

Not all banners feature a bottom pocket. Depending on a banner’s materials and weight, a bottom pocket may not be needed. But, for banners with a bottom pocket, using a pocket tube will add weight and stiffness. This will help the banner hang better, without bowing or curling. If your banner features a bottom pocket, you should use our “no-loop” end cap to finish the look of the bottom pocket tube.

preparing your banner

When designing banners wider than four feet, it’s important to prepare a slot for a center-support clip. Then, our top-loop end caps, combined with a center-support clip, will keep the pocket tube from bowing in the middle. For wide, or not so wide banners, the new GruVbanner Pocket Tube and accompanying end caps are just the ticket for hanging your banners.
