small or large, plain or accessorized
We’ve got little cups and big cups. We’ve got different stem styles and accessories. We’ve likely got just what you need if you’re a retailer or a grocer looking to display small signs.
how about a
mushroom-style stem?
Some of our suction cups feature a mushroom-shaped stem. With these suction cups, signs can be hung without any additional hardware. All that is needed is a standard die cut on your printed piece — the sombrero-style cut works well. Die cut in this way, your sign can simply hang on our suction cup’s stem — the mushroom cap keeps your sign in place.
The mushroom-style stem also allows us to mount accessories to the suction cup. These are features that we’ve covered in other posts that you can read here:

maybe you’d prefer a cylinder-style stem?
If die cutting isn’t part of your sign design, you might prefer a suction cup with cylinder-style stem — or, as we call it, a friction ring. With this style of cup, thin stocks can be pierced with tacks or screws that insert into the cup stem and hold signs in place. Thick stocks can be drilled with a hole that matches the stem diameter — then, tacks or screws can be inserted into the cup stem on top of your sign, keeping the sign from slipping off the stem.
We’ve got several style of tacks to choose from. Read on to learn all about them.
perhaps a hook
is best for you?
No fancy die cut is needed when you use a suction cup with a hook — just a little punch or drill in your printed piece will do the trick. An upward bend in the hook that is attached to our suction cup (along with a little gravity, of course) is all that is needed to keep your sign hanging properly.
feeling tacky?
we are tacky pros!
We’ve got clear tacks, shown in this photo, and we’ve got nylon tacks. Each of these tack styles can be used with most of our suction cup varieties. To learn more about our cups and tacks, just poke around in the suction cup section of our site. We bet you’ll find what you need.
just how much
do our cups suck?
We’ve got some suggestions, having tested each style of suction cup listed here. As you’ll see on the chart, the greater the diameter of the suction cup, the greater the weight that cup will support. Our tests revealed no difference in the weight-supporting capacity of suction cups with or without accessories, like hooks and tacks.
It must be said that conditions affect our suction cups. If a cup is mounted to a surface that isn’t clean, the cup will support less weight or it may not work at all. This is also true if the surface is textured or of a porous material like wood or sheetrock. The cups are intended for non-textured and non-porous surfaces like glass or metal.
Retailers, grocers, or anyone who needs to hang small signs with suction cups ought to check out what Popco has to offer. We’re here to help with your sign-hanging.
We’re proud that our cups suck and we don’t mind being tacky.
